Map of most photogenic stadiums in Canada

With summer in full swing, Canadian sports fans are eager to get back to enjoying sports in the sun or at one of Canada’s many epic sports stadiums.

In fact, 84% of Canadian sports fans are planning to travel to a sporting event in the next 12 months according to one survey. They’re also willing to go the extra mile, with plans to spend an average of over $1,200 USD in doing so.

Of these fans, 45% said that experiencing the destination of a sporting event was a top priority for them. Although, from pro to minor league, some of Canada’s sports stadiums provide a better experience than others.

New renovations in 2025 are dialing up the insta-worthy game of some major stadiums, with Toronto’s BMO field expected to have a face-lift by the 2026 FIFA World cup, including new videoboards and a patio.

Beyond aesthetics, these renovations are making stadiums across the country more accessible, giving equal opportunity for everyone to enjoy sports at stadiums.

But which Canadian stadium will give you the best experience for your money?

To find out, our researchers at Spin Casino have analyzed sports stadiums across Canada from pro to minor league, weighing up data from Instagram tags, TikTok posts and Tripadvisor reviews to find the top 20 most highly rated and photogenic sports stadiums to visit this year.

Table of top 20 stadiums in Canada with social media mentions

In first place as the most photogenic sports stadium in Canada is the Rogers Centre, in Toronto. Home to the Toronto Blue Jays, this iconic stadium had the second highest number of Instagram location tags, and the third most TikTok hashtags from sports fans.

After a multi-year, $400 million renovation starting in 2022, the Rodgers Centre had an upper hand in the rankings thanks to its upgraded bars, social spaces and accessibility features in the stadium creating a better sports fan experience - and great ‘photo-opportnities” according to three fans on Tripadvisor.

Coming in second is BC Place in Vancouver, with the highest number of TikTok hashtags for the stadium overall and the second highest number of Instagram hashtags. With the largest retractable roof in the world and a dazzling ‘northern lights display’ lit up by thousands of LED lights, this stadium is recognized by sports fans as a landmark of Vancouver's skyline.

Olympic Stadium in Montreal takes third place with the third most Instagram geotags and the most “photo opportunity” mentions overall on Tripadvisor by sports fans. The stadium's unique brutalist design makes a great picture, featuring the largest inclined structure in the world, the Montreal Tower.

However, the Olympic park site is in the midst of a large renovation project to update tourist areas of the Montreal Tower and upgrade the roof to allow more natural light, with the goal of creating one of Quebec’s most incredible tourist experiences - With the project to be completed by 2028, this stadium could slowly make its way up our rankings.

Following close behind is Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, with more Instagram hashtags than any other Canadian sports stadium. Home to the Hamilton Tiger Cats, this multi-purpose stadium has drawn attention by hosting an abundance of sporting and entertainment events over the past decade, drawing in over 3 million live attendees to the grounds.

With the most Instagram geotags overall and the second highest number of TikTok hashtags, Toronto’s BMO Field takes fifth place. However, with big renovations planned ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, this stadium could make a quick jump up the rankings to become a sports photography hotspot.

Edmonton’s Commonwealth Stadium takes sixth place, being the third most heavily hashtagged stadium on Instagram, and fourth most hashtagged on TikTok. As the largest open air stadium in Canada with a history of hosting many world-class sporting and entertainment events, it’s no surprise that this venue has drawn in crowds of photo-ready fans.

Mosaic Stadium in Regina and Nat Bailey Stadium in Vancouver take seventh and eighth place respectively, driven by a high volume of Instagram hashtags and a high percentage of 5-star reviews on Tripadvisor.

Ranking ninth, Ottawa’s TD Place is the fourth most geotagged Canadian sports stadium on Instagram, and the sixth most hashtagged on TikTok.

Ottawa Stadium, also known as Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton Park (RCGT) rounds up the top ten most photogenic sports stadiums in Canada. A fan favourite, this sports stadium is the most highly rated in the rankings with the highest percentage of five-star reviews by fans on Tripadvisor.

Overall, Toronto, Vancouver and Ottawa are tied for being home to the most photogenic sports stadiums in Canada, all with two stadiums ranking in the top 10.

When looking at the wider rankings, Montreal overtakes all other Canadian cities for photogenic stadiums, with four venues ranking in the top 20 - Olympic Stadium, Saputo Stadium, Percival Molson Stadium, and IGA Stadium.

If you’re planning to experience a game at one of Canada’s epic sports stadiums this year you won’t be disappointed with any of the venues on this list. Or, if you’re more into online gaming, Spin Casino offers great on-demand online gaming experiences that can be enjoyed anywhere, anytime.

Methodology

Spin Casino gathered a list of all pro to minor league sports stadiums in Canada and analyzed data from Instagram, TikTok and Tripadvisor to find the Canadian sports stadiums with the highest number of geotags, hashtags, attendee reviews and attendee ratings.

Once the data had been collected, an index score was given to each stadium in each data set, depending on the desirability of the result. E.g. The stadiums with the least Instagram geotags ranked lowest and received a lower score out of 100; whereas stadiums with the highest number ranked on top with a higher score. The cumulative index scores for each stadium were totaled and ranked out of 500, with the highest index figure being most photogenic and vice versa. All totalled index scores were divided by six to give a more understandable score out of 100.

Data correct as of June 2025.
