Symbols were big in ancient Egypt, and they’re just as important in Ark of Ra. The lower value symbols are card values A, K, Q, J, designed to look like jewellery and with an ancient Egyptian twist. The higher value symbols, in ascending order of value, are a golden ankh, the Eye of Horus, a dog, a hawk with a crown, the god Anubis and the star of the show, Ra himself in all his glory. Anubis and Ra expand to fill up to three positions on the reels, and they pay out 1,000x and 1,500x for five of a kind, respectively. In addition to these regular symbols, there’s a wild symbol that looks like a papyrus scroll and substitutes for any other symbol except for the scatter (a beautiful representation of the Ark of Ra) and the coin collect symbol (a scarab disk).
